1. Reserve the Elevator Early

If you're moving into or out of a multi-story building in Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Tempe, contact your building management at least 2 weeks before your move to reserve the service elevator. Most buildings have specific windows for moves — usually weekdays or early weekend mornings — and they book up fast.

2. Confirm Parking for the Moving Truck

A moving truck needs to park close to your building entrance. In dense Phoenix neighborhoods like Midtown, Downtown, or Old Town Scottsdale, street parking for large vehicles can be limited. Check with your building about loading zones and whether you need a temporary parking permit from the city.

The further the truck has to park from the door, the more time each trip takes — and time is money on an hourly move.

3. Know Your Move-In Window

Many Phoenix apartment complexes restrict move-in times to protect common areas and other residents. Common windows are 8AM–5PM on weekdays or 9AM–3PM on weekends.
